1967 - Minnesota Public Radio Launched

Minnesota Public Radio begins broadcasting with its first station in Collegeville, MN.

Wisconsin Public Radio began in 1914 as 9XM, an experimental station. By 1917, the station was broadcasting voice and music. In 1922, the station became WHA-AM which still broadcasts as one of WPR's 36 news, talk and music stations.

Wisconsin Public Television began in 1953 as the Wisconsin Television Laboratory. In 1954, it became WHA-TV which remains the flagship station of WPT's six station network in the state.
